The Goldmine

One of the four elegant suites in the "National Domain" car. It has a private entry, queen size bed, and bath. The room is magnificent with a beautiful 10-foot ceiling, an Italian hand blown glass chandelier, and antiques. It is decorated in rich golds and with the luxury that befitted the homes of the gold miners who struck it rich in Alaska's gold rush.

The "Immaculate Conception"

One of the four elegant suites in the "National Domain" car. It has a private entry, queen size bed, and bath. The room is a magnificent rendition of the historical Immaculate Conception church on the banks of the Chena river. Beautiful 10-foot ceilings adorned with a sky-scape invite you to a heavenly slumber.

The "Bordello"

One of the four elegant suites in the "National Domain" car. It has a private entry, queen size bed, and bath. The room filled with rich luxurious colors and a hand painted ceiling dripping with crystal chandeliers. It's paintings, fabrics, colors and fixtures reflect the risqué bordello atmosphere of Fairbanks's past.

"Golden Nellie" Caboose

The "Golden Nellie" is a private car for those who demand only the best. With glided golden ceilings, heavy burgundy velvet drapes, a queen size bed and a private bath, this car is our most extraordinary treasure. The original lounge chairs have been elegantly restored and one may sit in comfort after climbing the golden ladders into the covered observation deck above.

The National Emblem

The "National Emblem" is a 1956 Pullman private sleeper car that has two baths and can accommodate from one to four people. Many years ago it traveled the Aurora route from Seward to Fairbanks, Alaska. It boasts a spacious sitting area and four private rooms in its eighty-five feet. This car is a wonderful choice for couples traveling together and for small families.

The "Arlene"

During WWII this car was in service as a hospital car. Now renovated into a private 85-foot car with 2 bedrooms including a queen size bed and 2 twin beds. This car provides a private bath and living room with TV. Using traditional Alaska Railroad colors its bright and cheery. The smaller bedroom is perfect for children as the theme is Thomas Choo-choo (including toys, books, and puzzles). Master bedroom is more sophisticated for the parents with a toddler bed in adjoining room.
